Lifestyle in the East
To highlight the attractions available in the region, the Melbourne East Regional Development Australia (RDA) Committee developed a series of short videos to let people know more about things to do in Melbourne East. And there’s a lot on offer.
International students from across the region participated in the project working group and in the videos themselves. They provided valuable advice on the types of attractions and activities that would most appeal to the target market, and their enthusiasm was contributed immensely to the success of the project.
The six short videos cover a range of attractions.
Wineries: Visit a vineyard, see how grapes are grown, taste the many different varieties of wine and enjoy some fine food.
Photography: Capture the beauty of our natural wonders through our national parks, forests, reserves and sanctuaries, then have coffee and cake at one of our gourmet cafes.
Festivals: Help us celebrate at one of our many multicultural festivals, with food, fun, dancing, laughter, friends and more.
Puffing Billy and Healesville Sanctuary: Ride a 100-year-old steam train through some of Victoria’s most beautiful scenery, or get up close to some of Australia’s amazing wildlife.
Adventure activities: Go for a drive to winery country, take a sedgway ride or swing through the trees, then enjoy a delicious meal in a welcoming café.
Galleries, nature, history and more: Discover art galleries, secret sculpture gardens, fabulous cafes and more when you visit Bulleen and historic Warrandyte.
