Think Local Buy Local

To help boost the local economy, Whitehorse City Council is encouraging residents to purchase their goods and services locally.

Purchasing locally improves job security for many thousands of people, which helps maintain a vibrant and sustainable community. It also helps with creating new job opportunities and contributes to enhancing a sense of community spirit.

Businesses are encouraged to support the campaign by displaying a Think Local Buy Local sticker in a prominent location on their shopfront. This provides shoppers with a visual reminder of the need to support local business. Council will also be communicating the message broadly in the lead up to Christmas.

For more information or to obtain a Think Local Buy Local sticker, contact Council’s Business and Economic Development Unit on 9262 6333 or email
