To help boost the local economy, Whitehorse City Council is encouraging residents to purchase their goods and services locally.
The Think Local Buy Local campaign is making a difference for many local businesses in Whitehorse, while helping to improve job security for local employees, generate new employment opportunities and reduce the community’s carbon footprint.
Purchasing locally improves job security for many thousands of people, which helps maintain a vibrant and sustainable community. It also helps with creating new job opportunities and contributes to enhancing a sense of community spirit.
Businesses are encouraged to support the campaign by displaying a Think Local Buy Local sticker in a prominent location on their shopfront. This provides shoppers with a visual reminder of the need to support local business.
