Whitehorse Business Grants Program

Supporting the Business Community

Whitehorse City Council is committed to providing support to local Small to Medium Enterprises (SME’s) and it acknowledges that many SME’s have experienced severe impacts from COVID-19, and that some have been affected since January 2020.

The objectives of the Whitehorse Business Grants Program are to support:

  • social and economic sustainability
  • business growth and prosperity
  • local procurement and facilitating connections
  • creating business and employment opportunities
  • industry development
  • business compliance with State Government guidelines in relation to COVID-19.

Two funding streams were available for the business community, with both streams having an overarching focus on business adaption, innovation and resilience.

Round 3 applications closed 5pm, Friday 22 October 2021.

Applicants were notified of the outcome of their round 3 application in mid-December. Businesses were notified by email via Smarty Grants as to the outcome of the funding application.

Successful applicants are required to complete a Funding Agreement and Vendor Details form which can be accessed via Smarty Grants.

Once funding agreements and vendor details forms have been submitted, payment can then be processed.

Funding Streams: Innovation and Support

Businesses could only apply for one stream, and businesses who had successfully acquitted their funding in round 1 or round 2 were eligible to apply.
